Food 4 the Soul: Job's Giblets

Today's entrée comes from an unexpected, usually uneaten part of the chicken; that is, its gizzards. Though in some cultures they are considered a delicacy, these customarily are not incorporated into a meal because of their function in the chicken's body (its digestive regions). However, as I fried them and prepared the celery, tomatoes, and dipping sauce, I thought about how God takes negative and bad experiences in the Christian's life and uses them for His glory and the believer's benefit (regardless of how messy the situation might have been). Job asked and answered,

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. Job 14:4 KJV

Because of the intensity of his trial claimed that no one can bring a clean thing out of an unclean thing since there are limitations upon man. However, with God all things are possible. He is the one who can bring something good out of something unfavorable.

I want to take this time to encourage Christians everywhere to trust that God can give you turn around in your life. There are no situations that He cannot turn for your favor and benefit (even those that are your fault). He allowed David to recover, restored Manasseh to his kingdom after failure, and restored Peter after his denial of Him. Just continue to walk with Him and trust He will guide you from places of defeat, depression, and despair unto a place of peace, restoration and blessing.
